Too fragile
By disappointed
This set is not practical for use. It is too fragile. The statues are made of a porcelain-like material and only a millimeter thick in places. When a piece breaks, it shatters into a hundred pieces making it nearly impossible to glue back together. We bought this as a family gift for Christmas hoping to have it for years. Joseph's arm broke off when it was bumped putting another figure into the stable. Three figures shattered when they were blown over by the wind. They were on the wet grass lawn not a pavement. Inside use would have prevented the latter situation but the usual handling required to store and display these on a yearly basis make it unlikely that they would survive more than a year or two in the best of circumstances. This is particularly heartbreaking given the cost!

beautiful but yes, fragile

'The characters are beautiful, but yes, fragile. You have to be very careful with it and I would not suggest placing it outside which then means you must have a large area inside your home. It would possible be safer outside if there was a way to anchor it down. The manger was easy to install with good instructions. I would say the price is rather expensive, in my opinion.
